Elliot Road Waterline - Sossaman to Signal Butte Road
Kinkaid Civil Construction has been awarded the project to construct improvements to the water transmission system in the southeast valley. The contractor will construction a new 42-inch waterline along Elliot Road from Signal Butte to Hawes Road. From Hawes Road to Sossaman, the contractor will install a 30" waterline. This new waterline will distribute water from the new plant being construction at the northeast corner of Signal Butte and Elliot Road.
This project is critical to support the City of Mesa planned growth in the southeast Mesa area. The Falcon Field Transmission Main (new waterline) will provide water supply from the Signal Butte Water Treatment Plant that is currently under construction.
UPDATE: July, 2017
Construction began the week of March 6, 2016. Crews are currently installing the 30" waterline from Sossaman to Hawes Road. They will begin installing the 42" waterline from Hawes to the east beginning in late July, 2017.
CAP Raw Water Pipeline Project
Garney Construction was awarded the Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR) to install a 54-inch pipeline that will extend along Elliot Road from Signal Butte Road to the east for approximately three miles. This pipeline will ultimately provide up to 53 million gallons of water per day to the Signal Butte Water Treatment Plant.
UPDATE: July, 2017
Construction began in March, 2017. The contractor will be begin installing sewer and water mains in the intersection of Signal Butte and Elliot Road on July 24, 2017. To complete this work, there will be multiple lane restrictions and left turn prohibitions at the intersection of Signal Butte and Elliot Road. Below is a link to a map of the upcoming restrictions.
